What is Sea Moss?
Sea moss is a type of marine algae naturally found in ocean waters and traditionally used as both a food and a source of naturally occurring minerals. LKC uses Eucheuma cottonii sea moss, which is soaked and blended into a smooth, versatile gel that can easily be incorporated into everyday foods and drinks.
Where does LKC source its sea moss?
Our Eucheuma cottonii sea moss is sourced from the environmentally protected waters of St. Lucia.
We believe where our ingredients come from matters, which is why sourcing is an important part of the LKC process—from the sea moss itself to the spring water we use to prepare every batch.
What ingredients are in LKC Sea Moss Gel?
Our Sea Moss Gel is made with:
Eucheuma cottonii sea moss, spring water, organic blue agave, organic Ceylon cinnamon, organic ginger and organic cayenne.
Our spring water is personally collected from Harding Spring in Arizona and filtered through a stainless steel Berkey filtration system before being used in our gel.
How is LKC Sea Moss Gel prepared?
Every batch begins with raw Eucheuma cottonii sea moss that is carefully hand-washed and soaked before being blended with our filtered spring water.
We prepare our gel in small batches and add organic blue agave, organic Ceylon cinnamon, organic ginger and a touch of organic cayenne to create our signature LKC blend.
Every batch is prepared by hand with care and intention from beginning to end.
How do I use LKC Sea Moss?
For longer storage, sea moss gel can also be frozen in small portions—an ice cube tray works perfectly—so you can thaw or toss a portion into a smoothie whenever you need it.
How do I store Sea Moss?
Since our gel is made fresh, always check the use-by date on your jar and discard it if you notice an unusual smell, color, or texture.
